At Kimble Consultancy Services Ltd we have a highly motivated and skilled team of consultants. We've been working in the IT industry since 1983 and on the Internet since 1987. In 1986 we set-up one of the first 'Intranets' in the UK for Factron (Schlumberger). This network linked various departments through an Ethernet based TCP/IP network and connected to nomadic and home workers using state of the art 2,400 baud modems. Technology has moved on and so have we. Recently we've been involved in planning an Intranet for a major investment bank. Using a fast ATM/FDDI backbone the bank will offer secure access to databases and documentation to over 1,000 staff worldwide. The addition of an Extranet will provide key partners with access to the same services. An intenational business publication recently described the Extranet we set-up for the International Federation of Health Funds as very good. More importantly, this project is now entirely self-managed by the FHF, this means timely updates of the available information. The public area of this site can be viewed at http://www.fhf.com. We've also trained consultants working for the world's leading consultancy firms, these include KPMG and Arthur Andersen.
